Words Waging War

Sleeping above me, crossing my mind to push my dreams around.

Wake me with your tongue.  False alarms pull me down.

Slipping feathers in my ears helps the crushing of my fear.

Move from my thoughts to something that's caught

Leaving with an exhale.

Love's persistence to be the end all be all to me.

Will carry the question of my existence to the grave, save life

By bringing down life.

I'm finding it really hard to breathe right now.

Communicate respiration; revive me, to divide me into pieces small enough to fit into pockets.

Brave attempts to win you have failed,

  Stop me from trying.

Contaminants fight wars against speech.

Wondering will your words still out reach me.

Sins cast down by guilt stones past around,

Engraved with first and last names.

The dream has never been the same since my visitor has left me.

I pray tonight, hindsight will not let me go without you.
